About James…
I have always been interested in sport and fitness, even from a young age. Throughout my school life I played rugby, hockey and it was really here that I gained my passion for fitness through sport.
At college I studied sports coaching with development and again continued my rugby carer playing rugby league internationally at an amateur level. Upon leaving college I worked for Liz McColgan in Scotland as a fitness instructor, finally becoming a qualified personal trainer in 2005 (which feels like a long time ago!).
I have worked for a variety of companies, in a variety of sectors to gain the experience and knowledge I felt I needed to be a truly qualified instructor. Over the last 10 years I have specialised in fall prevention programmes and worked in partnership, as a freelancer, with the NHS and local authorities providing physical and, more recently, virtual classes in strength and balance, chair based and circuits.
